THE BIRTH
·
The unprecedented unity of the people of Ipil during
the elections of 2016 gave Hon. Mayor Inday Amy a resounding popular mandate.
This was a very clear message of the people’s need for true and meaningful
change as Mayor Inday Amy championed these desires under the banner of Hawak Kamay Walang Iwanan (HKWI).
·
HKWI came into being during the barangay sortie of
Hon. Mayor Inday Amy on the occasion of her birthday celebration. As her gift
to the people of Ipil and in recognition to the people’s resounding mandate to
her as their leader indicating their hunger for the much needed change they
have for so long dreamt of, the HKWI was conceived.
- Change has to come, and first in the order of battle
is the restoration of self-respect and dignity of the people without which no
man can righteously participate in any meaningful community development. With
these at the foundation, socio-economic empowerment of the people becomes a
logical sequel and ultimately political empowerment
